My favorite place on campus is the library. I think it's one of the best study spots on campus and I find that I'm very productive when I go to do assignments. The staff is very friendly and I never feel uncomfortable asking them questions. It's also a great place to go when you want some alone time.
My favorite class I've taken at the University of New Haven is Criminal Procedure I. A part of me has always know that I want to go into criminal law, but this class gave me the confirmation I needed that criminal law is for me. My professor was extremely passionate about the class so that made the classroom environment more engaging. One of the aspects of this class that I loved the most was that we were able to apply court cases to the procedures we were learning about. This helped me understand how certain procedures are used in real life and allowed me to develop a more comprehensive understanding of how our criminal justice system operates.
I chose UNH because it was one of the few colleges where I could imagine myself as a student at. Their criminal justice program is one of the best in the nation and I loved how all of the criminal justice professors have worked in the system at some point in time. I felt that UNH would be the perfect place to make the connections I need to not only further my education, but also help me make it in the workforce as well.
